In our two exhibitions the Manual Logging Era and the Mechanized Logging Era we meet a lot of people from the forest district: the lumberjack, the woman cook, the cattle tender boy, the smallholder's wife, the forest officer, the crown forest keeper, the log floater, the measurer, the machine driver, the repairman and the constructor...


Forestry through the times, where various technological conquests, tools, accommodation, food and clothes, together give a picture of the historical development.

The exhibitions also tell us about the forest itself, what the timber was used for in former days and what we are making of it today.
